Cole Sprouse Calls Out Coachella-Goers For Appropriating Other Cultures

Cole Sprouse‘ Twitter feed sets him apart from most celebrities, namely because it’s so, so objectively funny. (Yes, we stand by that use of “objectively.”) Still, he often uses his voice and platform to address serious topics as well, and he did so today on Coachella.

“Your Coachella outfit is appropriating 100% of a Native American headdress for someone who claims to be 2% Choctaw,” he tweeted, in a hilarious yet completely warranted tweet.

Many celebrities (and non-celebrities) take the spirit of Coachella a bit too far by donning headdresses, painting stripes on their faces, and doing more culturally insensitive and appropriating behaviors.

It’s good that many celebs are becoming more aware of the harm they might cause by appropriating other culturest.

It’s also good (for all of us) that we have Cole‘s Twitter feed.
