Shawn Mendes Could've Been A Disney Channel Star!

Shawn Mendes is one of JJJ‘s fave musicians and rightfully so, but did you know that he was once on track to become a Disney Channel star?

In a new interview with I-d magazine, the “Mercy” singer revealed that he really, really wanted to be an actor when he was younger.

“I wanted to be an actor, like, so so bad,” Shawn admitted. “I took acting classes, I auditioned for Disney, and then I realized how nervous I got with remembering lines.”

Eek! We get how that can be.

Shawn adds, “Then music kind of fell upon me when I was around 13. I started watching YouTube videos and singing and it became something that I was obsessed with. Next thing I know, I was fully in it.”
