AGT Ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer Dishes On How She Got Started In Her Craft

It’s been about three months since Darci Lynne Farmer won her golden buzzer on the current season of America’s Got Talent.

At just 12-years-old, she’s a top notch ventriloquist — and you’re actually probably wondering just how she got started in it all.

“I had a friend who did ventriloquism and I didn’t really know what it was,” she admitted in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. “I actually thought the puppet was animatronic, or something like that.”

After her friend gave her some tips on how to pull off the craft, she was hooked.

“It has a lot to do with your tongue movement — where it’s on top of your teeth and on the top of your mouth, things like that,” Darci Lynne explains about she pulls it all off.

“First I started just doing letters and then came the words. Tongue twisters are really good, too.”
