Is anyone else just a complete wreck after Caroline and Stefan’s wedding vows to each other on The Vampire Diaries tonight?
The meant-to-be couple, played by Paul Wesley and Candice King, wrote their own vows for each other for their nuptials and they were nothing short of romantic.
Read both of their vows below:
Stefan: “Caroline, you’ve been my friend, my conscious, my sounding board, my sunlight when all I saw was darkness. You saved me from despair. You told me once that I would fall in love without even realizing it and that’s what happened. Day by day, bit by bit, year by year…with you.”
Caroline: “I remember saying to you, we were dancing at my prom…funny all the things we remember as all the years go by… I remember how you told me when I was ready for you, you would be ready for me. I’m ready now. I think a part of me has been ready for this day since the moment I first saw you. The new mystery guy, in the hallway at school. I will always remember this moment. 100 years from now. I will remember this moment. For the both of us.”
“And that’s a wrap on Bonnie Bennett! Thank you to all the amazing fans for all your love,” Kat shared on Twitter with an emotional video a few fans had put together.
Paul added with a message to the fans: “That’s officially a wrap. One last pic of the brothers in front of the Camaro. To the fans, thank you for being a part of this journey in our lives. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
During the Comic-Con weekend, a new video highlighting The Vampire Diaries villains was posted on YouTube! The video shows some of the past villains, and teases the new villain “Evil Herself.” While we don’t get a real good glimpse, there is a scary bloody hand featured in the video! Watch below…
Candice King is talking all things #Steroline with JJJ.
We caught up with the 29-year-old Vampire Diaries actress at the 2016 CW Upfronts where she opened up about the big kiss between Caroline and Stefan (Paul Wesley).
“I think three years is a nice chunk of time for the characters to be apart,” Candice told us. “I loved the thick tension and unspoken words that needed to be said.”
As for whether she sympathized with Alaric (Matt Davis),” she said, “Yes, I did. I was like, ‘Does she give the ring back?’ Because maybe if she gives the ring back they can use it for [the twins'] college education. That’s even brutal.”
“She had to [break his heart],” Candice added.
The Vampire Diaries will return on Friday nights this fall.
Does this mean they are back together for good? Executive producer Julie Plec is dishing the goods!
“I always say that the saddest and truest rule of television is that there’s no drama in happy,” Julie told TVLine.com. “But there’s also the exception to that rule, which is that sometimes happiness is as comforting as soup when you’re sick. I’d really like to see Caroline and Stefan enjoy some of that comfort for as long as we can eek it out, before they have to stumble across another obstacle.”
She added, “Stefan’s really going to need her. He’s very determined to get Damon (Ian Somerhalder) back on track, and it’s not going to be an easy task. He’s going to need someone there for moral support.”
As for Alaric (Matt Davis) and the twins, Julie said, “Alaric made a beautiful statement, saying, ‘We are family, and we will always be family.’ He believes that in his heart, and that’s what she needed to hear. I fundamentally believe that they’ll be able to keep their unconventional family together and to stay strong for the girls and for each other.”
WHAT DID YOU THINK of the Stefan and Caroline kiss in the finale?
Are you still holding out hope for Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice King) – or Klaroline – to happen?
Well, given that they are on two different shows, we’ve kept our expectations low. But, it was nice to see her mention his name in the last episode!
“It’s definitely a hint,” executive producer Julie Plec told TVLine.com. “This year, as we’ve crossed over, we’ve acknowledged [The Vampire Diaries and The Originals]‘ shared universe. As we know from The Originals, there’s a prophecy predicting the demise of the Mikaelson family, so it was a nice little tease for viewers of that show to ask themselves, ‘Wait, what the hell happened to Klaus?’”
Julie added about crossovers, “It’s a rare luxury to have two shows in a shared universe that you could do that. So to not do it feels like we’re missing a really fun creative opportunity, a way to celebrate both shows. But it’s not like anyone over at the network is calling us and being like, ‘You need two crossovers this year.’ I think it’d be fun to keep finding small, organic ways to do it. Like when we had Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) show up on The Originals – that wasn’t for ratings, it just made logical sense that if the Originals were in Mystic Falls, they’d have a run-in with Deputy Donovan. I’d love to keep doing stuff like that. It’s fun, and it’s easier to accomplish than a massive two-show crossover.”
