The Originals executive producer Michael Narducci is talking about the potential for fan favorite couple Caroline (Candice King) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan).
“I don’t want to speak for what they’re doing on [The Vampire Diaries], but it certainly seemed like Klaus was saying to Caroline that he would always care for her and respect her, but that he understood she had moved on,” Michael told TVLine.com. “I know there are fans that want that relationship to continue, so I’m sure there are people who will read this and howl and be angry; I can’t fault them for their passion.”
He continued, “Klaus and Stefan (Paul Wesley) had that moment in that cemetery where Stefan basically said, ‘I hope I never have to see you again, because when I do see you, it causes me a lot of problems.’ Klaus kind of just said, ‘Do right by Caroline, and if you do that, you’ll never have to worry about me again.’ Klaus still wants what’s best for Caroline. I don’t think there’s a doubt in anyone’s mind that that’s the case.”
“To me, if you still love someone and you know someone else is with them, you’re not wishing them well and saying, ‘Take good care of her.’ It’s impossible for him not to hate Stefan in that moment – unless he’s willing to let Caroline move on,” Michael added.
Her baby bump even got blessed by the Pope himself! Check out the photo below!
“It was incredible. My husband [Joe]‘s band got to perform for the event in Philadelphia on Saturday night. I was there just supporting him and them, and it was such an honor to have a moment with the Pope,” Candice told People. “We are still speechless and cannot believe it happened, and I cannot believe my husband’s phone didn’t shake out of his hand when he snapped those pictures!”
Meanwhile, the happy family has been getting ready for their new arrival, with the help from her stepdaughters Ava and Elisa.

It features Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) have quite the awkward encounter as they run into each other while he’s investigating some missing blood bags.
“I made this a thing, didn’t I? I told you how I felt about you and now it’s weird,” Stefan says as he sits down next to her.
Caroline responds, “No, it’s not weird, Stefan.”
“You just asked about my brother, who you hate, to fill the awkward silence,” he says. LOL! Watch the Steroline clip below!
In case you missed it, check out our interviews with Candice and Paul about their relationship this season!
Stefan and Caroline will continue to do that “friendship dance” on the upcoming seventh season of The Vampire Diaries – and we got the scoop!
JJJ recently caught up with Candice King and Paul Wesley on set in Atlanta, where they opened up about all things Steroline.
“[Caroline's] mom died and she was emotional,” Paul told us about her decision not to pursue a relationship with him right away. “She didn’t want to make any irrational decisions, so I thinks she needs to process that.”
“She’s still mourning the death of her mother. She made it very clear to Stefan that she needed time for herself, which I loved,” Candice said. “So she’s still in that mode of self-discovery when we come back into season seven, but now she’s just finding it harder to resist Stefan waiting around for her.”
As for the “curveball” that executive producer Julie Plec recently teased, it may not be what you think.
“There are definitely some curveballs this season, both for Caroline and Stefan,” Candice told JJJ. “And I’m sure there’s been a lot of speculation about whether it’s a curveball particular to their relationship, but Stefan’s the one batting that curveball. Caroline’s trying to figure out a way to support him through some…he’s learning a lot with his mother being back in town. There’s a lot of family history that’s coming up for him and his past.”

Paul on Stefan: “Don’t let Matt Donovan be the sheriff of Mystic Falls.”
Kat on Bonnie: “Don’t worry, honey, your hair looks fine.”
Michael on Enzo: “Find a hobby, which he does. We see he plays guitar in an upcoming episode. So he’s got something else to absorb his interest besides revenge.”
