Corbin Bleu looks sharp while attending the Broadway Industry Screening of Rock of Ages held at Regal E-Walk on Monday (June 11) in New York City.

The 23-year-old actor showed off his rock star alter ego on the red carpet before heading inside.

“Checking out the #RockofAges Broadway screening this evening,” Corbin tweeted.

Corbin is currently keeping busy playing the lead role in the Broadway show Godspell.

The 23-year-old Broadway vet heartthrob told the talk show host all about his exciting new role as Jesus in the Broadway musical, Godspell.

The show also features fellow Disney star Anna Maria Perez De Tagle, and tells the modern-day version of the gospels, opening with John the Baptist calling a disparate group of young New Yorkers from their workaday lives to follow and learn from Jesus.

Corbin Bleu comes out to support his Godspell costar Telly Leung at his performance at Birdland in New York City on Monday night (May 14).

The 23-year-old actor joined other costars Nick Blaemire, Lindsay Mendez, and Charlie Alterman at a table to cheer on Telly during his performance.

In a recent interview with Broadway Direct, Corbin opened up about joining the cast of Godspell.

“There’s this blend of lightheartedness and absolute drama in the show,” Corbin shared. “It’s fun for the audience, but it’s also a serious story about a human being with free will who chose a life where he could be the best person he could be. [Godspell] shows the moments of doubt that he had, and how he chose to accept his own death. He wasn’t just some robot programmed to do good. Imagine if we all truly tried to be the best people we could be.”

Corbin Bleu makes his debut on stage in Godspell at the Circle In The Square Theatre in New York City on Tuesday night (April 17).

The 23-year-old actor posted on Facebook after a successful opening night, “I had an amazing opening night in Godspell on Broadway! Thanks to a wonderful audience, my very supportive family and friends, and a truly talented cast & crew.”

Anna Maria Perez de Tagle is gathering up her Godspell friends for a benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital next month.

According to BroadwayWorld.com, the 21-year-old actress plus Godspell costars Corbin Bleu, Wallace Smith, Nick Blaemire, Eric Krop, and George Salazar and Sam Milby will be aboard the Hornblower Hybrid for the event.

Musical director Sonny Paladino dished about the benefit concert that “Fans should expect a mix of pop and musical theater. Anna’s diverse style is allowing us to perform both traditional musical theater pieces alongside some real – in your face – pop tunes. Expect everything from Boublil and Schonberg, to Kander and Ebb, to Lady Gaga, and maybe even a little Cee Lo Green! Tell me that’s not diverse!”

Corbin Bleu is headed back to Broadway…as Jesus!

The 23-year-old actor will take over the lead role in Godspell from Hunter Parrish.

Hunter‘s final performance as Jesus will be on Sunday, April 15th — as he’s headed back to Los Angeles to begin filming the eighth season of the hit Showtime series Weeds.

“I know Corbin Bleu has a special affinity for GODSPELL, and with his great talent, charisma, and radiant energy, I know he will be terrific in the show,” showrunner Stephen Schwartz shared with BroadwayWorld. “I am very much looking forward to working with him and seeing him as our new Jesus.”
