Dalton Rapattoni exits the ABC studios after appearing on Live! with Kelly and Michael in New York City on Wednesday (April 13).
The 20-year-old third-place American Idol finalist performed “Hopelessly Devoted To You” from Grease on the program, the same song he wowed the show and judges with during Hollywood Week during the final season. Watch below!
“That is the thing that people often forget on this show: we basically live together so their success is my success,” Dalton shared with Billboard about Trent Harmon and La’Porsha Renae.
He added, “Trent is my upstairs roommate so I go up to his room every night and will tonight. We will just hang out. I am so stoked that he has a 50-50 shot at being the next American Idol. That is so sick.”

Dalton Rapattoni sings his heart out while performing during the Top 3 round of American Idol on Thursday (March 31) in Los Angeles.
The 20-year-old singer made it to the final three and each of the contestants performed three songs throughout the evening.
Dalton sang Blue October‘s “Calling You” as his hometown dedication song, Bruce Springsteen‘s “Dancing In the Dark” as mentor Scott Borchetta‘s choice, and Tears for Fears‘ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” as his judges’ choice song.
While the judges got to pick the song for the final round, they all commented that it was not his strongest performance.
