Hayley Kiyoko is back with another amazing song called “Gravel To Tempo”, off her upcoming EP, Citrine.
The 25-year-old singer and actress debuted the track’s music video on Friday (August 5), and opened up about the visual.
“From the beginning of writing that song, I envisioned myself in front of all the girls I had crushes on in high school,” she shared. “I remember so well what it was like to idolize other people and look for validation from them. But then I grew up, and I realized: The only validation I need is from myself.”
Hayley added, “My goal is to inspire my fans to find happiness in themselves earlier on, so they don’t have such a tough time growing up,. The world is a hard, difficult place right now. But it can feel a little bit easier if you believe in yourself.”

“I chose to shoot the music video up in Crestline, CA. The lake was freezing and those yellow towels saved us in between shots. We would be in the water, then I’d race to the monitor to watch the take. Start to get warm then jump right back in. I think we were in and out of the water for about 7 hours. Hot soup was definitely our friend that day. #cliffsedge #musicvideo,” Hayley wrote on Instagram.
