The 28-year-old actress and producer will not only return as the voice of Mavis, but she’ll now also serve as an executive producer, Variety reports.
News of a fourth movie was announced back in February 2019, and was slated for a Christmas 2021 release date.
Now, Hotel Transylvania 4 is set to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
Adam Sandler is set to return as Dracula as well, with Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon directing, and Genndy Tartakovsky returning as screenwriter and executive producer.
The Hotel Translyvania franchise has spawned three movies and a spinoff TV series, and has garnered over $1 billion worldwide.
Selena‘s producer credits are racking up. She has executive produced her friend David Henrie‘s directorial debut This Is The Year, The Broken Hearts Gallery, 13 Reasons Why, her HBO Max series Selena + Chef, and the Netflix docu-series Living Undocumented.
Announced this week on Deadline, Sony Pictures revealed that a fourth flick is on it’s way and will hit theaters around Christmas in 2021.
Since the third movie, released this past summer revolved around a summer vacation, it’s safe to think that the fourth flick could be about the holiday.
Selena Gomez has voiced Mavis, the daughter of Dracula, since the first film was released in 2012.
