The new trailer for Hotel Transylvania 3 is here!
Selena Gomez, who voices Mavis in the animated franchise, opened up to People about the third adventure movie.
“This time around, we are all leaving the hotel on a summer monster cruise which is a fun change,” she shared. “The comedic situations the characters from the first two films find themselves in might be the funniest yet!”
She adds, “My dad Drac begins dating, so in this one Mavis acts as the overprotective parent. I had a good time playing up that dynamic!”
Selena also adds about her bond with character Mavis, “It’s great because I have grown up alongside the character who I love voicing. I have always admired her spunk and smarts.”
“She is sweet and confident while struggling with being her own person. I like playing a character who loves her family and being in a film that brings families together.”
Hotel Transylvania 3 won’t be out until next year, but we’re willing to overlook that because the first image just made it’s way online!
In the third film in the successful animated franchise, the entire fam is going on a cruise!
Mavis (Selena Gomez) actually surprises Dracula (Adam Sandler) with a family voyage on a luxury monster cruise ship so he can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel.
The monsters are all having a great time, indulging in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, but then the unexpected happens as Drac falls for the intriguing-yet-dangerous captain of the ship.
Balancing family, friends, and a budding romance might just be too much, even for the most powerful vampire.
Lia Vollack, president of Worldwide Music for Sony Pictures, shared, “There are few groups out there that can match the incredibly fun feel and animated vision that Genndy Tartakovsky is bringing to Hotel Transylvania 2, and Fifth Harmony knocked it out of the park. The song is exactly what we were hoping for.”
Listen below and go see Hotel Transylvania 2, in theaters on September 25th!
