The 28-year-old actress opens up about her ‘daily struggle’, Chasing Life and more. Check it:
On where she really got her start in acting: “I ended up being the only kid who could remember all the Drummer Boy lines [in a second grade play], so I got the role and had the time of my life.”
On nabbing the part of April Carver: “The role was so real and the story was told so well that I thought there wasn’t a chance that they’d cast someone unknown,” she says. After a series of auditions, callbacks and screen tests, Italia booked the role. “I got the phone call that I was going to be April while standing in line at McDonald’s,”
On her New Year’s resolutions: “I gave up McDonald’s for 2014, and anyone that knows me knows how heartbreaking that is. It’s a daily struggle. [For 2015, I'm going to] Eat McDonald’s.”
On what season two will bring: “You see how April and Dominic have to handle being back at work together again, which is pretty tense. There’s a pretty humiliating karaoke scene I’m sure I’ll never hear the end of.”
Italia Ricci went all rocker hot in the January 2015 issue of Bello mag and the rest of her shoot is just as sizzling.
The 28-year-old Chasing Life actress opened up about the show, her upcoming nuptials to Robbie Amell and more. Check it:
On the what’s next with Chasing Life: “The second half of season one focuses on April trying to get back to the life she left when she started treatment. So you get to see her try to function back at work, and in life, normally, which is incredibly hard because of the physical toll chemotherapy took on her body and mind. You’ll also get to experience her having to be around Dominic again, and how that goes…or doesn’t. Outside of April, you’ll get to explore more deeply into other characters’ lives beyond their relationships with April. So you’ll get to know Sara, Emma, Brenna, Beth, Dominic, and Natalie better, and what they’re up to independently of April. You’ll meet some new characters, say goodbye to some that you’ve gotten to know, and really just get to see what April does with her second chance at life.”
On her engagement to Robbie: “We’re planning on a long engagement, so I haven’t really thought that far ahead yet. Babies for sure down the road, [but] right now I’m just hoping to plan and successfully execute the wedding.”
On fashion: “My personal style changes on a dime. One day I’ll be all about flowing, breezy, maxi dresses and the next I’m in tight leather pants. It depends on the day and my mood. This shoot has been great! I walked in and saw all of these badass ’90s outfits and immediately got scared that I wasn’t cool enough for them (laughs). But as always, Warren is a genius and whips me up in these threads I would never consider for myself, and all of a sudden I can’t live without these pieces. I can’t wait to see the pictures! Shooting with you guys is always a blast.”
