Jackie Evancho is beautiful in blue at the premiere of The Company You Keep held at The Museum of Modern Art on Monday night (April 1) in New York City.
The 12-year-old singer plays Robert Redford‘s daughter in the upcoming thriller.
“I needed a kid that could just be…I’m sitting in the hotel room and I’m surfing TV, boom there comes this beautiful, angelic face on a show called ‘America’s Got Talent,’ I thought, maybe she could act,” Robert shared with EXTRA on casting Jackie.
He added, “It was a risk. She showed up two days later…it goes to show you risks are worth taking; she turned out to be the most real, human kid.”

Jackie Evancho and Missy Franklin walk the blue carpet for Cirque du Soleil’s ‘One Night for ONE DROP’ held at Hyde Bellagio on Friday night (March 22) in Las Vegas.
The gala united all seven Cirque du Soleil shows on the Las Vegas strip to raise awareness of World Water Day. The production featured 237 Cirque du Soleil artists and guest performers and was filmed by 12 cameras to create a very exciting 90-minute special.
ONE DROP, a nonprofit organization, works to secure water access by implementing integrated and unique water projects around the world and to reverse the growing water crisis by raising awareness for water-related issues. Since its inception in 2007, ONE DROP has worked to provide access to clean, safe water for more than 300,000 people.
“Many thanks to everyone who sent prayers my way. They made all the difference in how my evening went,” Jackie tweeted after her performance. She was sick with the flu that night!

Later this month, the 12-year-old singer will be teaming up with Cirque du Soleil for an extravaganza benefiting One Drop.
Jackie will sing “Hymn of the Worlds” from 30 feet above the “O” stage at Bellagio for Prince Albert of Monaco, Cirque founder Guy Laliberte and an array of VIPs and celebrities.
For the first time, all seven Cirque du Soleil shows on the Las Vegas strip will close their doors to collaborate in the once-in-a-lifetime spectacular featuring more than 200 Cirque du Soleil performers for ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP on World Water Day.

The flick follows a former Weather Underground militant (Robert Redford) who goes on the run after an ambitious young journalist (Shia LaBeouf) exposes his true identity.
Anna, 27, will play a young FBI agent and the former girlfriend of Shia‘s, who provides him with the information about the militant. Jackie, 12, plays Redford‘s daughter.
The Company You Keep will hit theaters on April 5th.

On her stage style: “Because most of the songs I sing are timeless, I feel it’s important to wear timeless outfits to tie [everything] together. And nothing says timeless like the beautiful, long dresses and glittery shoes I wear on stage.”
On her Guess campaign: “I’ve gotten loads of clothing from Guess, so I’m wearing a lot of cute denim dresses and jeans right now. It’s fun to mix it up.”
On her shoe closet: “I’d say [I own] about 25 pairs, between my performance shoes, my everyday shoes [and] all the shoes my stylist has [for me]. I’m a kid, so I grow out of my shoes fast.”

The 12-year-old singer stars in the new campaign which portrays an energetic group of girls and boys in a modern day rock story. In the spirit of rock and roll, the kids strut for the camera in the season’s freshest denim.
“Jackie represents the GUESS ideal of the freedom to pursue a dream,” Paul Marciano, Creative Director for GUESS?, Inc., shared in a statement. “She is amazingly talented and super focused for someone so young. It was a pleasure to work with her.”
