The 19-year-old singer posed with her concert director Will Nunziata ahead of the show.
Speaking with NY Daily News recently, Jackie opened up about finding a new side of her voice with her new album, The Debut.
“This is the first album where I was actually able to speak my mind, and people listened,” she shared. “You’ll be able to see a bit of my ideas as an artist, rather than just a singer.
Jackie added, “I really want to know what else my voice can do. I knew I could sing when I was 10, but I didn’t know what else my voice could do. It developed into different things and I found out that I have a pop voice now. Really, I don’t want to limit myself to one specific genre.”
Jackie just turned 19 years old, making this her first album released as an adult.
“This is the first album where I was actually able to speak my mind, and people listened,” she told New York Daily News. “You’ll be able to see a bit of my ideas as an artist, rather than just a singer.”
“I spoke my mind a lot (in the past),” she added. “But no one really wants to take a 10-year-old seriously.”
Rather than the classical crossover music she has become known for, The Debut consists of 10 Broadway numbers that Jackie put her own spin on.
“I really want to know what else my voice can do,” she explained. “I knew I could sing when I was 10, but I didn’t know what else my voice could do. It developed into different things and I found out that I have a pop voice now. Really, I don’t want to limit myself to one specific genre.”

The 18-year-old singer performed her rendition of “Somewhere”, from her new album, The Debut.
“I think they [the fans] can really expect to hear more authenticity in terms of what I have to say in my art,” Jackie told Billboard about the new record which is filled with Broadway covers.
She added, “When I was younger and would work with producers and make albums, I would put my two cents in and then whoever was producing the album could decide if they really wanted to listen. Now that I’m 18 and am owning my own career, I think they really do pay attention to what I say more. What I say goes, and I think that’s awesome.”
Jackie also opened up about the tracks on the album: “For me, it was really kind of just taking a look at all of these new, amazing Broadway shows that everybody loves and finding which parts of the shows — which characters from the shows — really resonated with me.”
Although she didn’t make it to the final show, the 18-year-old opened up in her “exit” interview about why she wanted to be a part of the special season.
“I sang ‘The Music of the Night’ from ‘The Phantom of the Opera,’ the show that got me inspired to sing to begin with,” Jackie shared about her song choice.
She added, “I wanted to be able to be a part of this big celebration of all of these amazing, talented people from around the world. It’s truly amazing to see it.”
“To be competing on this stage compared to all of the other talents, it’s scary. But it’s also really exciting and I’m honored because I’m considered to be a part of those people. That really hit me here [in my heart]. That meant the world to me.”
In a leaked video, the competition series showcased the 18-year-old’s amazing presence on stage and just how much she’s grown up since her debut when she was only 10.
“It allowed me to reflect on my journey – the reason I wanted to do the show was to walk onto that stage as a young woman and show the world I am no longer a child,” Jackierecently shared in a profound Facebook post.
