James Bay lets his music tell the story on stage during his concert at the Fillmore Miami Beach on Wednesday night (September 21) in Miami Beach, Fla.
Just a few days before, the 26-year-old British musician played the Music Midtown Festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, waiting out a storm in the middle of it.
“YES! @MusicMidtown you brought the fire after the storm! Thanks for kicking everything back into action!” James wrote on Twitter afterwards.

The 25-year-old “Let It Go” singer performed to a sold out crowd just after speaking with Absolute Radio about his dream collaborations.
“When you see what he’s done with more current artists like Kanye [West] and Rihanna. I’d be open to discussing it,” James shared about Paul McCartney. “I suppose I wouldn’t want to predetermine anything because the cool thing about working with someone with such a huge array of musical content from over so many decades is that he could kind of come at you with anything and I’d want to be open to all of that.”
He also picked Ed Sheeran as a cool collaboration: “Ed Sheeran is totally a candidate. When you look at all the stuff he’s done and how creative he is, I’d totally work with him. As a musician, it’s really fun getting to know another musician by not exactly involving actual music at first, not pressured, just chatting and if it naturally, organically grew to something like collaborating, then fantastic. Fingers crossed.”
