Jenna Coleman truly becomes Queen Victoria in this brand new promo image for ITV’s upcoming Queen Victoria series.
“What can this girl possibly do to serve her country? – @itv’s #Victoria coming 2016,” the show’s official Instagram captions with the painting-like image of Jenna.
An eight-part mini-series, Victoria centers on the early life of Queen Victoria, from her ascension to the throne at the tender age of 18, through to her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert.
“Victoria is about the most famous monarch and world leader ever, yet what makes it appealing is the common humanity in Victoria; we see her girlish excitement, we see her fall in love, we see her petulance and anger, and we empathise with it,” ITV’s head of drama Steve November shared in a new interview. “It’s about the points where their lives touch ours.”
