Where’s Waldo? will bring the iconic character to life and follow 12-year-old Waldo and his best friend Wenda, who are members of the Worldwide Wanderer Society—the international order of curious travelers who circle the globe celebrating cultures and solving problems through observation.
Their mentor is Wizard Whitebeard, a seasoned wanderer—sends these inquisitive young adventurers on international travel missions so they can earn their stripes and someday become wizard-level wanderers too. But standing in Waldo and Wenda’s way is their rival Odlulu, who can’t help but cause trouble wherever she goes.
The first teaser will air this weekend during the American Ninja Warrior Junior season finale at 7pm ET/PT on Universal Kids.
The news was announced this morning by Disney Channel and Josh, who plays Cyrus, took to social media to share his best memories.
“When it started to become clear that we were nearing the end as we shot the end of S3, I had a heart to heart with Terri Minsky,” he writes. “I told her this show was something more than what came out on screen. I told her it was lightning in a bottle.”
Josh continues, “And every single day it really felt that way. This cast? Never had I worked with a group of people who became more than just work friends, but instead real, true friends for life that I will have.”
