Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir go in for a sit spin during the 2013 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships at Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium over the weekend in Osaka, Japan.
The 22- and 25-year-old figure skaters placed bronze at the competition, which is the last major event before the world championships in March.
“We are very excited,” Marissa shared with press afterwards. “The long [program] was a toss-up, it could be anyone’s game. We are happy with how it came out. We worked hard and had a good long program. It was our season’s best. We both would have liked a little better short, but overall we are very happy with where we started and ended.”
Marissa and Simon placed behind Team Canada’s Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, and Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch.
