She added, “I also learned so many different things from the pros. Talking to Sharna and Peta and Henry, they’re just amazing people with so much to give and so much to share that I’m coming away from this experience most appreciative of the things I didn’t expect to have coming in.”

Thanksgiving might be five months away, but America is already preparing for the parades and so are Meryl Davis and newly engaged Charlie White.

It’s official — reigning ice dance champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White will be taking this season off.
“We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received through this truly amazing year in our lives,” the duo shared in a statement (via US Figure Skating).
They added, “Trying to stay in the present, we’ve decided not to look too far ahead regarding our competitive careers. We’ll be taking the 2014-15 season away from competition. We will not make any further decisions until a later date.”
This, of course, doesn’t mean they’re breaking up — could you imagine that? — they’re just taking some well deserved time off.
Charlie wrote on Instagram, “Official announcement is out- we’re taking the next season off to do our thing! Good news though- we shall continue to exist and will be around!”
