Musical.ly is Announcing Short-Form Shows For Musers to Watch

Everyone’s favorite lip-syncing app, musical.ly, is about to get a major upgrade!

The world’s fastest growing entertainment social network announced today that it will be releasing premium short-form shows on the app, and they will be totally free.

musical.ly is partnering with Hearst Magazines Digital Media, NBCUniversal, and Viacom for this new endeavor. The companies will produce studio-quality shows that will be featured on musical.ly so that musers can watch it and respond to it with their own content using hashtags.

What will the shows be? Well, there will be two to start from Seventeen: Fashion to DIY and Seventeen and the City. There will also be a show under the E! umbrella called CRUSH about social media stars’ celebrity crushers (you’ll see a few musers you recognize!) That’s all we’re telling you for now!

“The addition of premium content on the app makes musical.ly a one-stop-shop for creating what we believe will be some of the world’s most entertaining short videos,” musical.ly president Alex Hofmann said.

musical.ly has been rolling in some major new developments this year! (Remember the casting call for My Super Sweet 16 a few months ago?)

We, for one, can’t wait.
