Only One 'Riverdale' Star Actually Wants To See Sabrina The Teenage Witch in Season 2

Only One 'Riverdale' Star Actually Wants To See Sabrina The Teenage Witch in Season 2

There was so much hype about Sabrina the Teenage Witch joining Riverdale for season 2 — but in reality, only one of the core four actually want to see her in it.

During WizardCon, KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and Cole Sprouse opened up about Sabrina joining the gang in the next season, and only KJ was actually on board with it.

Both Lili and Camila noted that the Archie world has a really wide range of characters and there are already so many, that it wouldn’t be fair to anyone since most of the background characters (like Ethel, Dilton, and Moose) get very little screen time.

Well, there go our dream castings for Sabrina…maybe.

While Cole didn’t really say anything about Sabrina, he did mention that he loves that Kevin (played by Casey Cott) has been upped to a series regular.

TELL JJJ: What do you think? Do you think there’s room for Sabrina at all?

Riverdale starts filming this month in Vancouver.

Lili Reinhart Has Some Biting Words About President Trump's Plan for the Planet

Lili Reinhart Has Some Biting Words About President Trump's Plan for the Planet

Many celebrities have spoken out about the current administration’s disinterest in preserving our planet in recent days, and Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart is in full agreement with the criticism.

“I’m convinced Trump is an alien who was sent here to destroy planet earth,” the 20-year-old actress tweeted this morning, “That’s the only explanation at this point.”

She isn’t the only one concerned. The Paris Climate Accord was set in place to reduce worldwide greenhouse gas emissions — and pulling out of it (as President Donald Trump did yesterday) puts our planet in peril.

'Riverdale' Scoop: Jughead's Dad FP Jones Will Be Back as Series Regular For Season 2

'Riverdale' Scoop: Jughead's Dad FP Jones Will Be Back as Series Regular For Season 2

We are so stoked over this news — Skeet Ulrich has been upped to a series regular on Riverdale!

Via Deadline, the actor who plays FP Jones, the father of Jughead (Cole Sprouse), will be back in full for season two of the CW series.

“We so loved having Skeet on Riverdale last year, that we couldn’t imagine Riverdale without him,” executive producer Sarah Schecter shared. “He’s a stellar actor and we feel we have just scratched the surface of who FP is.”

She adds, “We are excited to have Skeet continue on this journey and we can’t wait for the audience to see what he is up to this year.”

We can’t wait to see what FP gets up to in the new season.

KJ Apa Reveals There Was An Entirely Different Ending For 'Riverdale's Finale

KJ Apa Reveals There Was An Entirely Different Ending For 'Riverdale's Finale

Wait up just one second — KJ Apa just revealed that the ending for Riverdale‘s first season that we saw, was an alternate ending!

The actor, who plays Archie Andrews in the series, spilled the details last weekend at the MCM Comic-Con in London.

As we all know, Fred (Luke Perry) was shot in the season finale as gunmen came into the diner while Archie washed his hands and he returned in just enough time to see the shot go off.

“We had a completely different ending while we were shooting,” KJ shared. “Only me and Luke got sent the ending the night before we shot that scene.”

He adds, “No one else actually knew about it except for us at that time.”

So, what was the original ending? KJ kind of kept mum on that part, only that it had “something to do with the Blossoms” — obviously.

KJ also previewed what life would be like for Archie in season two.

“I’m really excited to explore a different side of Archie that we haven’t really seen yet, a darker side after Fred gets shot,” he said. “It kinda shakes things up for him for sure. Things start to get pretty gnarly.”

Riverdale season two is set to start filming in late June.

Cole Sprouse Says 'Riverdale' is About to Get 'Darker & Stranger'

Cole Sprouse Says 'Riverdale' is About to Get 'Darker & Stranger'

Cole Sprouse is getting us super excited for the second season of Riverdale.

The 24-year-old actor basically confirmed that the show – and his character Jughead – are about to take a dark turn.

“I think the whole show is going to be getting darker and stranger,” Cole told TVLine.com. “We’re going to be leaning into a lot of those qualities that a lot of people ended up loving in the first couple of episodes — this heavy cinematography, this overbearing coloration, this really dark content that’s kind of over-the-top and campy, but it’s taken very seriously.”

In case you missed it, we recently caught up with Cole‘s co-star Madelaine Petsch who teased some new developments for Cheryl’s love life!

Proof That 'Riverdale' Stars Lili Reinhart & Camila Mendes Are Great Friends IRL

Proof That 'Riverdale' Stars Lili Reinhart & Camila Mendes Are Great Friends IRL

Riverdale‘s Betty and Veronica embody the friendship nobody knew we needed. They turn a love triangle set-up upside down by making the relationship between the girls not competitive but strong and more unwavering. Even better, Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes‘s friendship is just as authentic in real life.

At Just Jared Jr., we are unabashedly obsessed with friendships, and this friendship between Lili and Camila we found entirely too powerful not to explore.

Here are just a handful of times we breathed sighs of relief that Beronica is real both on-screen and IRL.

Dream Casting Betty Cooper's Long-Lost Brother on 'Riverdale'

Dream Casting Betty Cooper's Long-Lost Brother on 'Riverdale'

At the end of the Riverdale season finale, it was revealed that Betty Cooper had a long lost brother.

Alice Cooper told her youngest daughter that she had gotten pregnant in high school and gave her child up for adoption.

In the comics, Betty had an older brother named Chic, but showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa isn’t revealing if that’s his name or not.

In the ep, Betty figured out that her secret brother is in his 20s, so…with only that to go on, JJJ‘s dream casted the role.
