Cheryl Might Join The Pussycats on Tonight's 'Riverdale' Episode

Cheryl Blossom might be at Pop’s Chok’lit Shoppe, but she doesn’t want to be there at all on Riverdale tonight.

In tonight’s episode, with the town still reeling from Fred’s shooting at Pop’s Chok’lit Shoppe and the exodus of the startled Pop’s staff, Betty (Lili Reinhart) is more determined than ever to keep the town staple afloat.

Though Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) resists appearing at an event aimed at rescuing the diner, Betty delivers a bold threat, which leaves her no choice but to perform with Josie and the Pussycats, who are temporarily down one member.

As the gang gathers for “Retro Night,” the Pussycats perform a rendition of the song “Milkshake” by Kelis.

KJ Apa Put Madelaine Petsch's Needs Ahead of His Own While filming 'Riverdale's Season One Finale

KJ Apa Put Madelaine Petsch's Needs Ahead of His Own While filming 'Riverdale's Season One Finale

The cast of Riverdale is seriously one of the best casts.

While speaking to Marie Claire, Madelaine Petsch opened up about filming the final scenes for the season one finale — you know, the one where she plunges into a frozen lake and Archie bangs open the ice on the lake to rescue her.

Madelaine shared the story about how, even though KJ Apa‘s hand was broken then, he still put her needs first.

“It shows you what kind of person KJ is — we were waiting between one part of the scene and another, and his hand was already broken but he didn’t know yet,” she shares. “We were freezing cold.”

Madelaine adds, “I remember KJ picked me up and held me and a location guy put a heated blanket on me, and everyone crowded around me breathing on me to keep me warm. That just shows you what kind of people I work with. We genuinely care about each other.”

On top of that, remember the scene where Cheryl spits water on Archie? KJ‘s hand was broken then too.

“That was such a big day for all of us — KJ broke his hand during filming, so we only had one take of everything that night,” she says. “He hurt himself and then they were like, ‘Okay, we got one take and then we gotta go.’”

“We had one take for me to hold the water and spit it on him—it became very serious very quickly.”

'Riverdale' Stars Casey Cott & Charles Melton Drag Each Other on Twitter Over Christmas Music

'Riverdale' Stars Casey Cott & Charles Melton Drag Each Other on Twitter Over Christmas Music

The Riverdale cast is closer than ever, and new Reggie Charles Melton is now a full-fledged member of the crew.

We know this is the case because he’s already dragging veteran Riverdale actor Casey Cott online.

“ABSOLUTELY started listening to Christmas music today,” Casey tweeted yesterday (which, same). “I’m so stoked.”

“Good for you,” Charles clapped back. “No one cares.”

“Love when a fan of mine tries to ruin my day!” Casey responded. “Nice try Melton! #whoareyou #retire.”

“You are worthless.”

These two will be besting Cole and KJ‘s iconic rivalry in no time.

Lili Reinhart's Favorite Bughead Scene Will Give You All The Feels

Lili Reinhart's Favorite Bughead Scene Will Give You All The Feels

If you asked us our favorite scene between Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones, aka Bughead, on Riverdale, we’d say all of them… just because they’re Bughead.

However, Lili Reinhart has one specific scene that she loves the most.

“Probably the ‘I love you’ scene in the Season 1 finale,” she told Buzzfeed. “It was just so beautifully written and so honest, and when he takes his hat off, it’s just like, ‘Aww.’”

She continues, “It’s just a very earnest moment between the two of them. They didn’t really have to think about it. Well, Jughead maybe had to think about it. Like, ‘Do I love her? Am I in love?’ Because he’s never experienced something like that before, and maybe he’s not necessarily used to being around a woman that he loves because his mom’s not really in the picture…”

“So for him it was a much bigger deal, but for Betty it was immediately like, ‘I love you too’ — it wasn’t even a second thought,” Lili adds. “She knew deep down that she loved him. She didn’t even have to process it or think about it. As soon as she said the words, it was out there and it was true. It was just a really sweet moment.”

'Riverdale' Fans Are Convinced Betty Cooper's Mom is a Witch

'Riverdale' Fans Are Convinced Betty Cooper's Mom is a Witch

With the Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV spinoff confirmed, the Riverdale fandom is going in deep with fan theories.

The latest one — that Betty Cooper’s mom, Alice Cooper, might be a witch — actually makes a lot of sense.

Tumblr user betty-and-jughead makes a pretty compelling argument about a potential Riverdale & Sabrina crossover.

“[Alice Cooper is] constantly using terms like ‘brew’ and ‘banish’ and ‘witching hour,’” the user writes, “and i’m wondering if perhaps she’s the black sheep of the family that doesn’t want to accept her witchcraft lineage and instead decided to shun her family, move away from SouthSide, marry Hal and build a fresh new life for herself.”

As a clever Buzzfeed video explains, it’s possible Alice Cooper has been hiding her witchy status to raise her kids as mortals. Witches are able to choose between being baptized during a satanic ritual or living as mortals in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics, and it’s a plausible theory.

Camila Mendes & KJ Apa Get Real About Filming That Steamy Shower Scene

Camila Mendes & KJ Apa Get Real About Filming That Steamy Shower Scene

Riverdale fans have been waiting to watch the development of Varchie (Veronica & Archie) in season two, and the premiere gave the people what they wanted in the form of a steamy shower scene.

Of course, as passionate as the scene looks, it wasn’t exactly romantic to film.

“Like, we just wanted to spit [the water] all out, but we had to make out, so we were just like plegh!” Camila Mendes laughed to Entertainment Tonight. “[It was] the funniest moment — It was a lot of fun!”

“It was pretty slippery in there,” KJ Apa added. “They had a fog machine in the actual bathtub.”

“We would just start cracking up laughing because none of [the crew members] were allowed to look at us while we were unclothed. But yeah, it was funny.”

Also, since Camila and KJ are such good friends, it had to be a little bit awkward! We’re glad they were able to laugh through the uncomfortable moments.

'Riverdale' Doubles Viewers With Season 2 Premiere

'Riverdale' Doubles Viewers With Season 2 Premiere

Riverdale just blasted through the ratings on the second season premiere.

Instead of the show coming back with fewer viewers, which does happen with sophomore seasons, it DOUBLED THEM!

The series — which stars KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch, Camila Mendes, Casey Cott and Ashleigh Murray — came back on Wednesday night and drew 2.3 million same-day viewers.

That’s insane and it also doubles the viewers it had during the season one finale.

We’re pretty sure a record was broken too, because it was the best teen ratings for any telecast since an episode of The Vampire Diaries back in 2012. That’s FIVE YEARS AGO.

Among millennial and Gen-Z women, Riverdale also tied or beat every show on ABC, CBS, or NBC Wednesday, finishing behind only Fox’s Empire and Star.

Luke Perry Masqueraded as Madelaine Petsch To Hide From Paparazzi on 'Riverdale' Set

Luke Perry Masqueraded as Madelaine Petsch To Hide From Paparazzi on 'Riverdale' Set

When Riverdale season one ended, we didn’t know if Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) would live or die and no one in the cast, or crew was telling anyone anything about Fred’s fate.

We found out last night that Fred did indeed survive, so how did Luke get around the set where there are paparazzi hiding around? Easy. He dressed up like Madelaine Petsch!

“They’ve been disguising me as Madelaine,” Luke told EW after the premiere last night.

He added, “Long red wigs and stuff like that. I told them [the hair] needed to be long enough to cover the beard so we went with Mads.”

So, if you might have seen a pic of Madelaine, it might have been Luke instead!
