We’re still a couple days away from the release of The Kissing Booth 2, but there’s already chatter about a third movie happening in the future and Joey King is sharing her thoughts!
The 20-year-old actress made a virtual appearance on The Today Show on Wednesday morning (July 22) and talked about the possibility of making another movie in the franchise. Joey says that she think the sequel is even better than the first, which was Netflix’s most re-watched movie in 2018.
So, will there be another movie?
“Well, me and the cast have been talking and we want that so bad and we’re kind of relying on the fans to help us out. They loved the first one so much and they’re the reason that we got a sequel. So if they love this one and they make it known to the world and to Netflix, our fingers are crossed that Netflix will give us a third movie because that’s what we want really badly,” Joey said.
FYI: Joey is wearing a Materiel jacket dress, Gianvito Rossi shoes, Melinda Maria earrings and Lillian Shalom rings.
The Kissing Booth 2 trailer just dropped earlier today (July 6) and there were a couple of new faces!
In the trailer, we get a first look at two new characters, Marco and Chloe.
Marco, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez, is a handsome, charismatic new classmate that gets close to Elle (Joey King) and is a potential new man for her.
You may recognize Taylor from his role as Sofia’s hot brother Benji in season two of Young & Hungry. You can check out a preview of that episode here (he’s shirtless) to refresh your memory, and you can watch the full episode, which is season two, episode 14, titled “Young & Oh, Brother!”, on Netflix!
Chloe, played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers, is a seemingly-perfect college girl that Noah (Jacob Elordi) meets during his first year of school at Harvard, and seems to put a wedge between him and Elle.
Maisie is of course currently well known for her role as Charlie/Vixen/Amaya Jiwe on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow! She also had a recurring role on The Originals as Eva Sinclair/Rebekah Mikaelson in seasons two and three.
The trailer for The Kissing Booth 2 is finally here – and we cannot wait to see this movie.
The Netflix movie will be debuting on the streaming service on July 24, and it looks like there’s a lot in store for Elle Evans!
Here’s a synopsis of the new movie: Elle Evans (Joey King) just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.
Netflix has released a video that has all of the scenes that were cut from the film, which blew up the internet in the summer of 2018.
“If you were curious what moments hit the cutting room floor, wonder no longer! Here are a few deleted scenes that didn’t make the final cut of The Kissing Booth,” Netflix captioned the video.
Fans got a first look at the deleted scenes during the live stream event with star Joey King last week!
Joey put together a puzzle to reveal the poster and the release date for the upcoming The Kissing Booth 2, which brings back the cast, and adds a couple of new characters.
The 20-year-old actress just revealed that The Kissing Booth 2 will premiere on July 24th on Netflix.
Joey announced the exciting news during a live stream event on Thursday (May 21), where she did a puzzle to reveal the first poster!
