In “Death and the Maiden,” while Elena and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) try to explain Amara’s (Dobrev) situation to Stefan (Paul Wesley), Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) gives Katherine (Dobrev) some deeply disturbing news.
In tonight’s episode “Handle with Care,” Silas (Paul Wesley) happily announces his new goal to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Dobrev), but they are skeptical when he promises to accomplish one important task in return for their help. Tessa (Janina Gavankar) confidently tells Stefan (also Wesley) about her next move, then realizes that Silas has managed to outsmart her.
A desperate Katherine (also Dobrev) discovers a new and unexpected consequence of becoming human again, and realizes she needs a new place to stay. In exchange for a spot in the dorm room, she offers to show Caroline (Candice Accola) how to get answers from Dr. Maxfield (Cosnett).
EW reports that Tyler will make his way to the Big Easy “sometime soon.”
Michael, 28, dished about his visit, “A lot of fans are upset that Tyler has made the decision to leave as soon as he shows up. I’m getting a little bit of flack for it on the Twitterverse here. I just want to say everything will be explained, and I think Tyler will make it good once he shows up to The Originals…. I think everybody will be happy with Tyler’s reasoning when they see what he’s been up to and what he has planned.”
WHAT DO YOU THINK of Tyler heading to New Orleans?
In “Monster’s Ball,” on campus, Elena is touched by a sad and secretive student named Aaron (guest star Shaun Sipos). Elena and Damon attend the Whitmore Historical Ball dressed as Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII. At the Ball, Elena shares a dance with Dr. Maxfield (guest star Rick Cosnett), who has a disturbing message for her.
Caroline’s (Candice Accola) evening at the Ball takes her from happiness to heartbreak.
Meanwhile, Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) reveals her surprising history to Katherine (Dobrev), and Damon tries to make a deal with Silas (Paul Wesley). Silas’ demand that Damon commit an unthinkable act leads to a violent confrontation.
