'The Vampire Diaries' Recap: 'She's Come Undone'
The theme of tonight’s (May 2) Vampire Diaries was torture – and there was a whole lot of it!
Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) spent the majority of the episode trying to convince Elena (Nina Dobrev) to turn her emotions back on – even enlisting Katherine for help.
As expected, she didn’t do much helping. Instead, she forced the Salvatore brothers to “kill” Matt (Zach Roerig), which did actually cause Elena to have a breakthrough. She’s officially old Elena again!
Speaking of Matt, Rebekah (Claire Holt) is clearly still looking for his forgiveness and vowed to make it up to him before graduation. She even suggested compelling him a scholarship!
Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice Accola) was also getting tortured, by Silas masking himself as others. He nearly killed her mother, and it’s still unclear whether Sheriff Forbes is a vampire now or not.
As for Bonnie (Kat Graham), she teamed up with Katherine to help drop the veil. In return, she promises to make Katherine an immortal creature, thus allowing her to live with the freedom she’s been longing for. Too bad Elena has other plans for her – she’s intent on killing Katherine, the evil doppelganger who’s caused her so much pain and killed poor Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen).

As everyone gathers for the graduation ceremony and the ghosts converge, help comes from an unlikely hero. Meanwhile, Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) plan leads to the closing of the veil.
Elena (Nina Dobrev) makes a decision about the Salvatore brothers and faces an epic confrontation with Katherine (Dobrev). Finally, Stefan (Paul Wesley) discovers a horrifying clue to the mystery surrounding Silas.

'The Vampire Diaries' Recap: A Major Twist Is Revealed on 'The Originals'
SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
Tonight’s Vampire Diaries backdoor pilot, appropriately titled The Originals, was nothing short of amazing.
Klaus (Joseph Morgan) headed back to his hometown of New Orleans only to find himself in a major power struggle with his protege Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and his vampire minions.
Elijah (Daniel Gillies) showed up to help his brother find out what the witches in town wanted with him, and I don’t think anyone – anyone – was expecting what they found out.

In the shot obtained first by the Huffington Post, we get a glimpse at the humanity-less Elena as she’s surrounded by a cloud of… ghosts, perhaps?
Here’s the episode description for “She’s Come Undone,” which airs May 2nd: Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) try a brutal new approach to provoke Elena into turning her humanity back on, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is frustrated when her attempt to intervene backfires.
When Elena figures out a way to call the Salvatore brothers’ bluff, they call for backup from a surprising source.
