Troian Bellisario is opening up about breastfeeding her daughter.

In honor of World Bestfeeding Week, the 33-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 6) to share a powerful and candid message about breastfeeding.

“I would never have thought something so simple would be so complicated,” Troian started her post. “My milk came in immediately (so lucky!) my daughter has always eaten well (little bit of reflux but all good) and breastfeeding her was never painful or frustrating (SO RARE) but the mastitis🥴, waking up in the middle of the night to pump😴, pulling off on the freeway to pump, or hiding in dark corners of houses while pumping or else I can’t sleep it’s SO PAINFUL🥵”

Troian and husband Patrick J. Adams welcomed their daughter back in October 2018.

“(I’ve included the most glamorous I’ve ever looked while feeling like an effing cow) having to be conscious of everything I put or do not put in my body (it’s been almost two years if you count pregnancy) and that means alcohol, medication, even melatonin! I can’t even join in all of this cool CBD stuff that’s happening,” Troian continued.

Troian concluded: “But… no matter how much I HATE pumping or how complicated MY relationship with food is, it has been a joy, an honor and a no brainer to feed my daughter this way. 🙌🏽 My body has made it easy for us and i have loved every moment i get to spend this kind of time with her. Not every mother gets that. I don’t know if I will have it for much longer, but I will always take care of her and do what is best for us. (Once again f*ck pumping. Love you forever babay girl)”

Troian Bellisario is just one of the celebs taking part in Child Mind Institute‘s Mental Health campaign.

The former Pretty Little Liars actress and director is featured in a new video, where she speaks to her younger self about anxiety and her struggles with eating disorders.

“Nobody’s going to be disappointed in you for having a blue day. They just want what’s best for you,” Troian shares. “So you don’t have to take it out on yourself or hurt yourself in any way, because you are loved. It might not feel like it right now, but things will change.”

Every day this May, a different celebrity is sharing an inspiring video about overcoming a mental health or learning disorder for National Mental Health Awareness Month.

Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams put their knowledge of each other to the test!

The married recently took a significant other quiz, and turns out, they practically aced it.

Troian and Patrick got the easy questions right, like birthdays, birth year, and favorite food, but struggled a bit on their favorite pizza toppings and favorite ice cream flavor.

The happy couple have been married for two and a half years, and have a baby boy together, who was born in October 2018.

Let’s get real here – if you haven’t heard about the Georgia and Alabama passing an abortion bill this week, then you might live under a rock.

The bill, which was signed by the Alabama governor, makes almost all abortions illegal within the state.

Many celebs that you probably follow on social media are speaking out about the bill, including Troian Bellisario, who revealed her character on Pretty Little Liars, actually had an abortion storyline in season 6B.

If you remember, it was revealed that during the five year time jump, Spencer and Toby had a pregnancy scare.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she opened up about the storyline on the Freeform show.

“When we originally shot the episode, we shot TWO versions of the storyline,” she writes. “One where Spencer said she WAS pregnant (and therefore had the abortion) and one where she said ‘I wasn’t pregnant but I would never judge someone for making that choice’, and I will be honest, I have n idea ultimately who made the decision to choose the later stoyeline for the finale edit of the episode, but I agree with and was proud to portray both. You know why?”

“Because the choice should belong to the woman,” Troian concluded.

Troian Bellisario and Ashley Benson might be directing during the next season of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (if it happens), according to Sasha Pieterse!

Sasha opened up about how the original Pretty Little Liars cast might be involved in the new spin-off series with her during a recent interview with ET.

“I think Ashley and Troian are going to try to direct next season, which would be amazing, if we get a next season,” Sasha told the outlet, adding that the rest of the cast has been “really, really supportive. … We love to have whoever on the show, whoever wants to join us.”

Sasha also said that there would have been more original cast members involved in season one if it weren’t for everyone’s crazy schedules.

“You know what the biggest problem is? Which is the best problem to have in Hollywood? Scheduling,” she explained. “Everyone is so busy, which is such a blessing for everybody. I’m so happy for our cast and our crew. We’ve just always been supportive of each other… but that has been our biggest challenge is scheduling. Troian had a baby, she couldn’t direct our first season.”

The event, hosted by Henry Golding and Yalitza Aparicio, was held ahead of the 2019 Oscars to celebrate the new and rising voices who are the change-makers in Hollywood.
