Stella Maeve: Independent Spirit Awards 2013

Stella Maeve is wonderful in white as she attends the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards held at Santa Monica Beach on Saturday afternoon (February 23) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 23-year-old actress picked up the Robert Altman Award along with her Starlet castmates James Ransone and Dree Hemingway and director Sean Baker.

Starlet explores the unlikely friendship between 21-year-old aspiring actress Jane (Hemingway) and elderly widow Sadie (Besedka Johnson) after their worlds collide in California’s San Fernando Valley. After a confrontation at a yard sale, Jane finds something unexpected in a relic from Sadie’s past. Her curiosity piqued, she tries to befriend the caustic older woman.
