American Idol's Alex Preston Gives Mount Vernon Town Hall Concert During Home Town Visit

Alex Preston gives an intimate acoustic concert just outside the town hall in his hometown of Mount Vernon, New Hampshire over the weekend.

“I’ve never been on a private jet in my life. I’ve only ridden commercial. so this is the coolest thing ever,” the 21-year-old American Idol finalist shared with WMUR about his transportation home.

And despite if he wins the competition or not, he’s still coming back home to go to school at University of New Hampshire.

“I can’t wait to go to UNH,” Alex shared. “It’s going to be awesome. I’m excited to see my friends and thank everyone in person for supporting me. I just want to say thank you so much. I’ve been trapped in this Los Angeles bubble, but mom and dad call. Support literally means the world. Thank you all. I love you so much.”
