Meryl Davis & Maksim Chmerkovskiy: If Amy Purdy & Derek Hough Won 'DWTS', There Would Be No Drama

Meryl Davis is all smiles next to Maksim Chmerkovskiy during their appearance on Access Hollywood in New York City on Wednesday afternoon (May 21).

The Dancing With The Stars season 18 winners chatted with hosts Billy Bush and Kit Harrington on taking the mirrored ball trophy home.

“We said yesterday [to each other] that if Amy [Purdy] and Derek [Hough] been called as winners, all would be right in the world, there would be no drama, we wouldn’t be upset. My mom maybe would be upset again, but she deserved it,” Maks shared.

He added, “So did Candace [Cameron Bure], so did Charlie [White]. God knows Charlie did not deserve not to be in the finals; James [Maslow] and Peta [Murgatroyd] were amazing as well. it was an incredible season and so much fun and so positive. We [myself and Meryl] did all we could to do and stuck with our guns. For me, she’s brilliant.”
