Hunter Hayes Is 'Always Nervous' Before Performing

Hunter Hayes sure packs the crowd during his performance during the 2014 CMA Festival on Friday afternoon (June 6) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 22-year-old musician surprised his fans at the fest with a pop-up show after stopping by the Samsung Lounge.

“I wouldn’t say stage fright necessarily, but I’m definitely always nervous,” Hunter recently dished about having any sort of stage fright.

He added, “You can’t get nervous when you’re that young, but I just loved being in front of audiences. Nobody in our family’s musical and I just feel like I was blessed to fall in love with music really early on. Stepping on stage gives me a chance to really be myself, and writing and listening to music is my language.”
