Katy Perry Helps Donate $1 Million to Teachers!

Katy Perry looks super chic while attending the Staples “Make Roar Happen” Press Conference at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Thursday (June 12) in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old singer helped announce that Staples will be donating $1 million to support teacher projects during the upcoming school year. She is also inviting fans who come to her Prismatic World Tour to give back via DonorsChoose.org.

“I’m an American girl that had a dream, executed a dream, came from nothing – and that really is the American dream,” Katy told the Associated Press. “I’m happy to be that example and hopefully inspire other people to do that.”
