Debby Ryan Dip Dyes Her Hair Lavender & It's So Rad That We Want To Do It Too

Debby Ryan is slowly becoming the queen of hair changes, and JJJ is loving it. We’re convinced that no color would look bad on her!

The 21-year-old actress just debuted her new tinted locks of lavender to her fans on Instagram and she did it with Kool-Aid!

Here’s what Debby wrote: “Well kids, sometimes in life we have a week or three where people can’t tell us we’re wrong when we just want our outsides to match our insides and maybe we’re a little weird inside so we boil sugar free grape kool-aid and stick our head in it and die our hair lavender and that, evidently, is the fun in being twenty one according to the small book of debby.”

WOULD YOU EVER DIP DYE YOUR HAIR? (get directions on how to inside the cut!)

How To Dip Dye Your Hair With Kool-Aid
* repeat these steps twice

1 – Make sure that your hair is completely dry and brush out any tangles. For best results, dye hair that has been washed the day before.
2* – Pour two packets of sugar-free Kool-aid and two cups of water into a pot. Place the pot on the stove and bring the mixture to a boil. Want a bolder color? Add more Kool-Aid. Want less? Mix in extra water.
3* – Remove the pot from heat. Put Kool-aid into mug or bowl. Dip the ends of your hair into the liquid and hold for 3-5 minutes, up to 10, if hair is really thick. This will allow the color to set.
For just the tips, submerge 1-2 inches of hair in the liquid. For a more dramatic look, try dipping 4-5 inches of your hair.
4 – Remove hair from the liquid and pat dry. If you use a towel, keep in mind it will stain.
5 – Allow hair to dry completely before washing and enjoy!

Psst: Kool-Aid contains sugar. After your hair dries, rinse your hair completely to get rid of stickiness and avoid attracting bugs. Kool-aid dye can also take between one month to three months to wash out, depending on your natural hair color. You can speed up this process by washing your hair more often than you normally do using any kind of shampoo. If you want to make it last longer, don’t wash your hair as often.
