The 25-year-old actor/musician’s brother, Nick, recently opened up about the Jonas Brothers’ break up while promoting his new self-titled album.

“I had to have a conversation to tell them where my head was at. I felt limited. I just wasn’t feeling like we were vibing together anymore, and thought that our relationship as brothers might get complicated if we continued on that path. It was a tough conversation, of course, and it was a couple days of picking up the pieces,” he dished to Billboard.

Nick added, telling Yahoo Style, “It did start with me, the conversation about the group reaching its time, and closing that chapter of our lives. For many reasons, the biggest one being that we were no longer gelling in the way that we used to as a group. And I think we all had different things in our hearts. I definitely did, and I felt a lot of freedom when I was able to go and just create, and sort of start over again.”
