OlderStefan & Elena Will Get a Goodbye Scene, Says 'Vampire Diaries' EP Julie Plec
We’re starting to learn a little bit more about Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) exit from The Vampire Diaries as the final few episodes approach.
Executive Producer Julie Plec took to Twitter to answer some fan questions, including one that will give Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena fans a little bit of relief.
Stelena will in fact have a final scene together. It likely won’t be romantic, but they will get some sort of closure it seems. Here’s what Julie told a fan:

Other things we learned:
1. If someone takes the cure from Elena (like Silas did with Katherine), she won’t age like Kat did because she’s only been a vampire a few years. But if someone takes it from Damon, it will accelerate his age and he will die because he’s over a 100 years old. Got that?
