Amber Riley Lands Role in 'The Wiz Live!'

Amber Riley will be joining the cast of The Wiz Live! on NBC!

The 29-year-old Glee star will be taking on the role of Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North. Orange is the New Black‘s Uzo Aduba also joined the cast as Glinda.

“We look forward to showcasing the amazing musical talents of Amber, and we are eager to introduce Uzo’s remarkable singing voice for those who know her solely as an extraordinary dramatic actress,” Wiz executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement to Essence, who broke the news.

The show will air on December 3!
