Shawn Mendes Talks Having Two Number Ones On His Album

Shawn Mendes flashes a peace sign to the cameras after his visit to BBC Radio in London on Tuesday afternoon (September 15).

The 17-year-old musician recently spoke to Rolling Stone about having not just one, but two number one singles on his upcoming album.

“Having a Number One album was something I could never have dreamt in a million years and was so significant to me. And now having two singles from the album go platinum, and a big radio hit, all in under a year, really is more than I could ever ask for,” he shared.

Shawn added, “Finding out that my fans sold out all of my headline tour dates in minutes, [and] when we got the call that Taylor wanted me on the 1989 tour, were both just so surreal.”

Shawn is also pictured at the Cumulus Ultimate Back-to-School Shopping Giveaway Contest at Hollister where he treated one lucky fan to a shopping spree before his concert at Best Buy Theatre last week.
