Shay Mitchell Hates Telling People She Can't Tell Them Anything About The PLL Secrets
Shay Mitchell sits courtside with a friend during the LA Lakers game at Staples Center on Thursday night (January 28) in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old actress is featured in the new issue of Teen Vogue mag and opened up about the new season of Pretty Little Liars. Check it:
On the appeal of PLL: “I love the fact that it didn’t pit the girls against one another which a lot of shows do when you have female ensemble casts. I think it’s so much better that we put it out there that you can have girlfriends without the competition, the drama, and the jealousy. We really need to empower one another because it’s hard. It’s tough enough being a girl in this world without the added drama and pressure from other women. We really need to just hold hands and go through this together. I think it’s really important. I hope to see more of that.
On having to keep mum on some things about the show: “I think interviews are the hardest part. You have to get so creative in how you deflect the question. It’s not easy to say, ‘Sorry, I can’t tell you’ so many times over. There’s so many things that are going to happen this season that I wish I could just tell my friends, my family, my mother…I’m like, ‘Mom, I can’t even tell you!’”
On her actual dream role: “A Bond girl. Or Bond herself. I do love action movies and I do love stunts. They don’t let me do too many on the show, but I do love to do them. So Bond, Fast & Furious, Mission Impossible… I want to play a strong, kickass girl in heels. I’m better in heels. I can run faster in them than in flats.”
