Charli XCX Responds to Derogatory Remark on Twitter: I'm Proud of My Indian Heritage

The 23-year-old singer had to deal with some extremely derogatory comments over the weekend, and she took to Twitter to speak out.

Someone commented that “XCX always looks dirty,” to which she responded, “ugh. wow. just wow.”

“i am extremely proud of my indian heritage. i love my roots & my family. don’t call me/anyone “dirty” bcoz of the colour of someone’s skin,” Charli tweeted in response.
