Bailee Madison Wrote A Novel & We Want To Read It Right Now

Bailee Madison goes back to the 1950s in a structured dress that JJJ is dying over for Bello magazine.

The 16-year-old actress opened up about Good Witch, social media, and her upcoming novel. Check it:

On her novel: “I’m even more excited, as I just co-wrote my first book. It’s a young adult novel with an author friend of mine called Stephanie Miller who’s an incredible author and we’re in negotiations with some amazing publishers right now and we’re just kind of looking for someone who is just as excited about the book as we are. Then the even bigger picture – when we wrote this book we visualized it as a movie, so hopefully the reception of the book is just as much as we hope it to be so then the next stages will be script and getting it on the big screen!”

On what’s happening for Grace on Good Witch: “Season 2 is a big learning curve for Grace. I think in Season 1 because she was younger she was more sure of herself but then, when you start hitting your true teen years, you start to second-guess your identity and who you want to be and who society wants you to be. So, there’s a lot of growing in terms of school and guys and friendships. There are some really great moments between her and James Denton’s character, which were probably my favorite to film this season.”

On social media: “I started a campaign called ‘I Am More Than A Word’ a couple months ago when I was in the realization that words really do hurt no matter who you are, how old you are, what you do for a living and where you are in the world. So I created this when I was affected by some words and I was so hurt that I realized that I wasn’t the only one and I wanted to hopefully just touch one heart. I wrote a Tumblr about it and the reception was more than I was ever expecting so I decided to do a YouTube video. It showed the challenge of everyone writing down negative words that they’ve ever been called on a piece of paper. I put it to Rachel Platten’s ‘Fight Song’ and from there on the social movement kind of begun. I’ve been so grateful and I get stories on a daily basis saying ‘I was called this and I smiled at them and walked away and I wrote that word down and I ripped it up in the school hallway and I’m now okay.’ So it’s a very exciting thing, social media’s a great platform to hopefully get to inspire and help people not feel solo.”
