Lily Collins Auditioned to Play Jenny Humphrey on 'Gossip Girl'

Lily Collins matches her new red hair with her red lipstick while stepping out for an errands run on Wednesday (June 22) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 27-year-old actress recently opened up to Glamour about the role she auditioned for on Gossip Girl, but didn’t get – Jenny Humphrey! The role eventually went to Taylor Momsen.

“I remember the screen test for Gossip Girl was on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank,” Lily said. “I was about 17 or 18 years old at the time. I remember driving onto the lot and going, ‘Oh my God. This is surreal.’”

“It was one of those OMG moments,” she added. “Whether or not I got it, I knew I could say I screen tested on the lot and one day I want to work at one of these [studios].”

“I wanted it so badly,” Lily said.
