Simone Biles Leads USA Women's Gymnastics Team to All Around Gold Medal
The ladies of the USA Women’s Gymnastics Team celebrate their big win during day four of the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Tuesday (August 9) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Simone Biles, who competed in all four of the events in the team all-around, helped lead the team – Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, Aly Raisman, and Gabby Douglas – to the gold medal.
The ladies kept the medal in the U.S. after the Fierce Five won it four years ago at the London games.
The USA team received 184.897 points overall, a huge lead over silver medalists Russia (176.688) and bronze medalists China (176.003).
Congrats to the ladies on the big win. We can’t wait to watch the rest of their events!
