Grant Gustin Wanted To Be This Surprising Character In 'Hairspray'

Grant Gustin heads out of the Vancouver International Airport on Tuesday afternoon (September 6) in Canada.

The 26-year-old actor returned to the area to continue filming on The Flash after a weekend off for Labor Day.

Speaking with our pals at Clevver recently, Grant opened up about his desire to be in Hairspray Live, but it wasn’t meant to be because of his commitment to The Flash.

“Hairspray was the second or third Broadway show that I saw when I was [around] 13 or 14 years old. I’ve wanted to play Link for over 12, 13 years,’ he confessed.

Grant later added, “But, ultimate truth be told, I always wanted to be Seaweed, but that’s never going to happen.”
