Justin Bieber Joins the List of Singers Banned From Performing in China

Bad news for Chinese fans of Justin Bieber: the Beijing municipal culture bureau has banned the pop star from entering the country!

“Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, but he is also a controversial young foreign singer,” they said in a statement. “We hope that as Justin Bieber matures, he can continue to improve his own words and actions, and truly become a singer beloved by the public.”

Other artists that are forbidden from performing in China include Oasis and Maroon 5, MTV reports.

Still, we think they’re being just a bit unfair: after all, Justin brought his fans to tears at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County earlier this week, and serves as a role model and inspiration to thousands of people around the world.
