Dove Cameron Posts Touching Tribute to Her Late Father on His Birthday

Our hearts are hurting for Dove Cameron today.

The 21-year-old starlet is remembering her father, who passed away when she was just 15.

Dove took to her Instagram to share a beautiful photo of her dad and pen a touching tribute in honor of his birthday.

“july 22: can’t ever let today pass without sending my love out into the universe, hoping it reaches you somehow. happy birthday, dad. i still am, and will always be: yours,” Dove wrote.

Dove recently opened up about her father’s passing and revealed she’d like to make a movie about him one day.

“He took his own life, and he also was closeted, which we only found out after he died. When I found that out, I was like, everything adds up. He was such a sensitive person. He had bursts of anger, but he was also so beautiful and he designed jewelry and went to the Peace Corps,” Dove explained.
