It's Betty's Turn To Be There For Kevin in 'Riverdale' Season 2

During the first season of Riverdale, we all saw that Kevin was the one that Betty always came to for boy problems — and now it’s Kevin’s turn for season two.

Casey Cott spoke to Teen Vogue about the role reversal for the new season, debuting tonight on The CW, and he’s definitely looking forward to that.

“I think while Kevin has been such a rock for Betty, she hasn’t really been the rock for Kevin that he needed,” he says, thinking of last season. “It’s interesting to explore maybe Kevin finally addressing that with Betty and standing up for himself a little bit in season two.”

Casey adds, “Kevin’s not a pushover by any means, but he’s a rock for many different characters. Sometimes, I think it’s important that he stands up for himself.”

“When it comes to Betty, there’s a role shift that’s a great way of Kevin finally letting her know that she left him hanging a little bit.”
