Asher Angel Joins DC's 'Shazam' Movie

Congrats to Asher Angel!

The Andi Mack star will be playing Billy Batson in DC’s upcoming Shazam movie, Variety reports.

The film will follow Billy (Angel) who can transform into an adult superhero by uttering the magic word “Shazam!”

The name is an acronym of the ancient gods and historical figures Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury, who Batson derives his heroic attributes from when in adult form.

Zachary Levi will play Billy in his adult form for the movie.
