Callie Will Be Helping Ximena With US Citizenship When 'The Fosters' Returns

Callie is making it her mission to help Ximena in the upcoming episodes on The Fosters.

TVGuide gave us a little bit more scoop on what’s to come on the long-running Freeform show, which will end this summer before leading into a spinoff show.

According to EP Peter Paige, the show will continue to follow Ximena’s story, which only gets more complicated once the teens are freed from the church. Helping Ximena find a pathway to citizenship will be Callie’s main focus in the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, Nick will also return as the battle for Anchor Beach’s soul reaches a climax — and Mariana will not be ready for what he has instore for her.

The Fosters will return on Tuesday, January 9th @ 8PM ET/PT on Freeform.
