Camila Mendes Actually Hated Veronica's Hair on 'Riverdale' in Season One

Camila Mendes had a big hand in how Veronica does her hair – especially the length.

The 23-year-old Riverdale star opened up to People about Veronica’s signature style.

“[In] season one her hairstyle was always side-parted,” Camila recalls. “I didn’t really like my hair season one…”

“I didn’t like having short hair. It took us a long time to figure out what to do with it,” she adds. “And then season two I convinced them to let me grow it out and do a middle part.”

Camila revealed that the shorter style just wasn’t fitting her or Veronica at all.

“It would, like, curl out, and it was really complicated on my off days,” she says. “I just…I didn’t feel beautiful.”

Camila continues, “I really felt insecure about it. I told them, like, ‘For my sanity can I please grow out my hair? We can still make this Veronica.’ So they let me have long hair and have my middle part, which I just think frames my hair better.”

When Riverdale returns for season three, you can probably expect the same new signature style.
