Lucy Hale Partnered Up With Honey Nut Cherrios' Good Rewards Program For This Inspiring Reason

Lucy Hale heads back to her car after picking up a drink to go to kick start her day in Los Angeles on Monday (October 15).

You may have seen the 29-year-old actress’s face on some boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios in your local market. Lucy recently opened up about why her face is there and why she chose to participate in the Good Rewards program.

“I’m really aware of my platform and that I have a voice and can inspire people to do good, so this really just seemed like a really natural partnership,” Lucy shared.

All you have to do is make a Good Rewards account online and select a team to support — Lucy is playing for the ASPCA. After buying specially-marked cereal boxes, participants can scan the code on the back of the box and donate the Buzzcoin to whichever team’s charity.

“I am a lover of animals,” she dished about picking the organization. “I think they’re incredible and I will do anything to protect them. I have a dog that I’m obsessed with, so it’s really just rooted in my love of all animals.”

When the competition ends in April 2019, Honey Nut Cheerios will donate $100,000 to the charity with the most Buzzcoins.

“I grew up with Honey Nut Cheerios,” Lucy added. “It’s sort of a classic and a staple. So to be involved with them and to be on a Cheerios box is really surreal. But to be involved in such an amazing way for giving back makes this even more special.”
