Ashley Tisdale Reveals The Meanings Behind Two New Songs on 'Symptoms'

Ashley Tisdale has opened up more about her upcoming album, Symptoms, in a new interview with Teen Vogue.

While chatting about how she channeled her anxiety and depression into a stripped back album that we can’t wait to her, the actress, producer and singer also revealed more stories behind the tracks.

“There’s a song called ‘Vibrations’ because a lot of what I was dealing with was I had this vibrational feeling in my neck that was part of the anxiety, this inner shaking sometimes,” she shared. “Instead of writing about a vibration in my neck and that’s what the song is about, it’s about vibing out, like we don’t need to go out, we can just vibe, Netflix and chill kind of thing.”

Another is called “Insomnia”, about sleepless nights caused by the absence of a romantic partner, not by anxiety.

“When you’ve experienced [insomnia] you’re scared you’re gonna have it again. But once you’re just like whatever, don’t give it any power, you’re not scared,” Ashley added. “It’s really having fun with it and has really helped me…I just remember turning to my husband and being like, not only did I get myself through something emotionally, but I created art out of it.”
