Simone Biles Makes History at FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships!
Simone Biles looks super happy after finishing her floor routine at the 2019 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Tuesday (October 8) in Stuttgart, Germany.
The 22-year-old gymnast made history and broke a record that night – she became the most decorated female gymnast in history.
Simone received her 21st world championship title after her team won a fifth straight world team title. Congratulations Team USA!!
This was just the first of six medal events that Simone has, so she could be taking home even more titles.
Simone also opened up about wanting to quit gymnastics.
“Sometimes I wish I would quit,” she told NBC Sports. “The other day, we walked out there, and I was like, I literally hate this feeling, and I don’t know why I keep forcing myself to do it.”
“I hate that feeling like I’m going to puke before. But, you know, we love the thrill of it,” Simone added. “Reminds me to never give up because one day I won’t have the opportunity to get that feeling.”
