ALL Disney Parks Are Open For The First Time in 17 Months After Disneyland Paris Reopens
For the first time in over a year, every Disney theme park is now open to the public!
This exciting news comes as Disneyland Paris reopened once again on Thursday (June 17) after another lockdown in France.
Much like when the OG Disney park reopened in April, Disneyland Paris cast members lined Main Street to welcome guests back to the park. The park is still currently adhering to strict health and safety protocols, including social distancing and mask requirements for all guests six years and older.
The French park also opened a new attract at Walt Disney Studios Park: Cars ROAD TRIP, and next week, they’ll open Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.
Disneyland Paris first began a phased reopening in July 2020, but then closed down again in October, with multiple delayed reopening dates.
Disney Parks of course were forced to close in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but all of the parks – Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland (Anaheim) and Disneyland Paris – are all now finally open.
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, shared a letter to Disney fans on Thursday (June 17), celebrating all of the parks being open.
“We have a lot to celebrate today, as for the first time in 17 months, all of our theme parks around the world are open and welcoming guests to share the magic of Disney with their loved ones!” he wrote on the Disney Parks Blog.
“This past year has been challenging for us all, but has also given us an unexpected opportunity to reimagine our business for the future and create new experiences that our guests will love,” he continued.
“As the world continues to recover and reopen, we’re optimistic about a future full of possibilities and more exciting milestones to share with you. To all who come to this happy place, welcome back!” Josh added.
Disney Parks also released a cute video, saying “Welcome Home.” Check it out below!
