'Nancy Drew' Spinoff Series 'Tom Swift' Gets Finale Date on 'The CW'

The series finale date has been set for freshman series Tom Swift.

The Nancy Drew spinoff debuted just at the end of May, and was canceled by The CW a month later.

Now, the network has revealed when the finale episode of the series will air.

In the final episode, “… And the Cost of Forgiveness,” only hours are left before Tom (Tian Richards) must launch the rescue drone to save his father from outer space. But his plans are jeopardized by an anti-technology attack at Swift Enterprises’ Black engineering conference – and by the fallout from the discovery of his father’s shocking betrayal during Tom’s childhood. Tom will be forced to confront his deepest emotional wounds, and his journey will bring about a stunning revelation that will change his life forever.

Also starring in the series are Ashleigh Murray, Marquise Vilsón, Albert Mwangi, April Parker Jones and LeVar Burton.

The series finale of Tom Swift will air Tuesday, August 2nd at 9pm ET/PT on The CW.

According to reports, the studio producing Tom Swift is hoping to find it a new home so that it can continue on, as they like the show creatively. The cancelation comes due to low viewership.
