Devon admits needing to go to acting classes to learn how to really act after the show

“I definitely thought after Ned’s, the world is my oyster,” Devon admitted. “I definitely had to go learn acting after Ned’s.”

“[On Ned's] it’s not acting, it’s cartooning,” Devon shared later. “I literally had to go learn acting. I went on a few auditions and I went in like, ‘Cast me baby, bring me my Oscar,’ and then I went, ‘Oh sh-t, this is kind of like real and difficult. I don’t know how to do these scenes.’ I literally had to go to a class where the coach, the first class I went in like, I went and found a class that scared me, the actors were so good. I went up there, did some slick sh-t, and the coach called me out on it. He said, ‘You’re slick.’ He’s like, ‘You’re like pretending to be good… You’re good at fooling a lot of people. It’s slick, it’s smooth, a lot of it’s working. But you’re not actually doing it,’ and I felt so seen, but it was truth and I was like this is my class and this is where I need to be. Then I went and had to learn how to actually drop in there.”
